In March 1851 ...Sarah Brown aged 52 married to James an agricultural labourer (49) lived in Waste House now West House with Maria (8) and henry (4)
In April 1861 ... Sarah (56) lived with husband James (55) with sons John (22) a bricklayer and harry (14) in Russells Cottage on the site of Penrose cottage

In April 1871 at Russets House (?) James Brown (68) a day labourer is living with his wife Sarah (72) Their daughter Maria (30) also lives there with her partner Richard Dallow (35) a bricklayer and her 2 children: Eliza (7) and Arthur (5)
