John Marks
was a farmer who took over the Vernon’s Shrawley Farm account on the death of Samuel Powick in 1895.
He was baptised St Mary’s Church 20 March 1856. Son of James (cooper, White House, Sankyns Green) and Ann.
1861 age 5 he was living in White House then in 1871 age 15 they have moved and he is a cooper’s son in Bartlams (father James had moved his cooperage there)
1881 age 25 farmer, 16 acres, Bartlams. by 1891 now aged 35 he's become a farmer at Wood Farm. 1901 age 45 still a farmer. Wood Farm; then by 1911 age 55 he is still a farmer, but now at Green Farm.
