Mary Thrupp (1850-1876) was the third of 4 children born to Joseph and Fanny Thrupp of Shrawley. Her younger sister Frances, who also died in her 20's, is buried close by in plot B1. Joseph was a blacksmith who lived his whole life in Shrawley. He married Frances (Fanny) Davies in 1845, and lived to 1860. Fanny died in 1863. Mary spent her early years at Eagle Cottage now Bayliss Cross, moving to the Lenchford Inn, with her family between 1851 and 1861. As far as we know, it was there that she died.

In March 1851, at Eagle Cottage now Bayliss Cross, Joseph Thrupp (41) is a blacksmith living with wife Frances (Fanny) (37) and 3 children: Henry (4) Joseph (2) and Mary (1)
In April 1861 at the Lenchford Inn, Frances (Fanny) is now a Widow aged (47) living with 4 children :
Henry (13) a publican's son, Joseph (12) scholar, Mary (10) a scholar, and Frances (7) also a scholar

In April 1871 at the Lenchford Inn, Henry (24) is now the head of the family and the Innkeeper as well as a Coal Merchant living with his wife Lucy (22) and sister Mary (22)
